From West Thumb Geyser Basin we drove back north towards the marina, but first turned onto Gull Point Drive for a picnic at the Gull Point Picnic Area. There's a spit of land that juts out into the lake--you can just see it in the picture in the first link-- and after lunch we walked out onto it. It was VERY windy.

The sandy spit turns a corner and circles a little lake. You can see the beginning of the Tetons in the background.
