Uncle Tom's Trail.

On the South Rim, at the arrow...

Uncle Tom's Trail. She has that look on her face because we did it in 2012 and she knows what she's in for.

Down we go; a tree had fallen over the first stretch of stairs.

Hmm... a fear of heights versus one of the coolest places in the park.

     The park wins.

I stopped to talk to the couple in this picture, and

it would be natural to assume they'd just paused to take a picture. Uh, no. She couldn't go any further.

     There's my brave girl.

Looking downriver. (Sandi's in the picture.)

We're still only two-thirds down. You can just make out the people on the Brink of Lower Falls patio at the upper left.

    A closer look.

I took these two the day before from the South Rim. In the first that's the stairs we're on now going down and, in the last, the platform to which we're descending.
