We were out at dawn.
There are many things things that separate the amateur photographer from the professional, and one of the clearest is the amount of time the serious photographer devotes to his craft. I've never had enough time, and perhaps a strong enough drive, to be one of those guys who spends fourteen hours outside in the cold or the wet, dodging bison or bears or angry spouses to capture that one elusive image. If we're out and God blesses us with His creativity and His generosity and His majesty in nature--and for Sandi and I, He has done so quite often--then, thank you, Lord. We were thanking Him this day.
